Which Motors and Batteries Work with This ESC?
This ESC supports common brushed motors: 130, 180, 260, 280, and 380. It's a good match for 1/18 or 1/16 scale RC cars, mini boats, and small tanks. For power, you can use a 2S LiPo (7.4V) or NiMH/NiCd pack with 4 to 7 cells (4.8V to 8.4V). The built-in BEC supplies 5V at 1A to run your receiver and servos.
How Does the Brake Function Work?
The brake engages when the throttle returns to neutral, helping the vehicle stop quickly. This is useful for precise control during turns or when avoiding obstacles. The ESC also includes reverse, typically activated after a brief neutral delay.
